In danger: The Fix

Number of seasons: 1

What it’s about: This comedy series takes a look at some of the world’s biggest problems. Hosted by Jimmy Carr with comedians Katherine Ryan and D.L. Hughley as team captains, the two teams work on outlandish but intriguing solutions. It’s up to the audience to vote on which solution is the better of the two.

Why it’s in danger: This Netflix Original was released on December 2018 and that now puts it in some serious danger. When I first thought it was a show in danger of being canceled, I admitted that it was too early to tell. Netflix usually makes a decision two months after the release.

It’s now been a little more than two months and there’s been no renewal notice yet. This suggests that maybe not enough people tuned in from start to finish.

Chances of being renewed: Apart from being some high-profile comedians, this show should get a second season. It would be one of the cheapest to film for Netflix. But that is only well and good if people are actually watching it.

Like Made in Mexico, which (spoiler alert) will also make an appearance on this list, the show isn’t one that I saw talked about a lot. When watching Netflix, it’s not a trailer that I see popping up in the middle of episodes. Unless you were purposely looking out for it (like I was because I love Jimmy Carr) this wasn’t going to be on your radar.

There’s a slim chance that it will be renewed but I just don’t think it will. And I’ll definitely be disappointed if that’s the case.
