Fun fact: You on Netflix is based on a novel by Caroline Kepnes, and there’s a second book! Read or follow along to the audible on Scribd.

You has taken the streaming giant by storm, capturing the attention of millions to become one of Netflix’s biggest shows in a long time.

Like most TV shows and movies lately You is based on a book series. The series of novels are from Caroline Kepnes, and there are two books in the series so far. Several fans were aware of the books, but for the most part, this is brand new information for audiences.

Lucky for readers, there’s no need to go searching for the novels or purchase them online, we know the best place to read them — Scribd!

If this is your first time learning about Scribd, here’s a quick rundown: The service gathers the best books, comics, audiobooks, magazines, journalism and more in one place. For $8.99 a month, subscribers have access to all the content available!

This definitely beats the price of paying for one too many books and not enjoying them halfway through and makes it very budget friendly to browse and find another book. Best of all, Scribd is free for 30 days and cancel at anytime! Interested in reading Caroline Kepnes’ You novels for free? Check them out on Scribd right now and while you wait for season 2.

Available at Scribd are You: A Novel (published Sept. 30, 2014), which served as the inspiration for the first season of the Netflix series. There’s a second season on the way, and while it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’ll likely cover the events that take place in the second book, Hidden Bodies (also on Scribd). The follow-up was published Feb. 23, 2016.

Both books are available to follow along as you listen to the audible version. I’ve only recently started the first one and love it so far! It’s fun comparing it to the series. And the voice! The voice! So perfect and chilling. It really adds a little extra something to the story.

I don’t know about you, but reading the second novel to stay one step ahead of Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) seems like a great way to pass the time while we wait for season 2!
