By Reed Gaudens
As the Halloween holiday and the end of the year quickly approaches, our weekends will become more and more packed with activities and errands. That's why it's more important than ever to set aside some time to relax and watch some new Netflix movies and shows. But if you don't want to waste your time endlessly scrolling and finding something to watch, we're giving you some recommendations.
The current titles current taking up spots on the Netflix top 10 lists are Outer Banks, Love is Blind, Unhinged, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, Nobody Wants This, Ancient Apocalypse: The Americas, Deceitful Love, and more. After watching these, make some room on your watch list for a few new releases are coming this weekend.
Wondering whether you should watch or skip Woman of the Hour, Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare, and The Lincoln Lawyer season 3? Here's what to watch this weekend on Netflix!
Woman of the Hour
Watch! Academy Award-nominated actress Anna Kendrick makes her directorial debut with the drama thriller film Woman of the Hour, which makes its streaming debut on Netflix on Oct. 18. The movie traces the chilling true story of a serial killer attempting to stalk his next victim by appearing on The Dating Game.
Kendrick also stars as Cheryl Bradshaw in the film's leading role. Prior to its streaming release, the film has landed a 92% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, denoting widespread critical praise. Don't skip the movie that everyone will be talking about this weekend!
Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare
Skip! Landing on the daily top 10 most popular movies ranking one day after its Oct. 16 premiere, British true crime documentary Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare is another buzzy new Netflix release going into this weekend.
In the film based on podcast of the same name, Kirat Assi tells her story of her relationship with online catfish Bobby, which turned from seeming true love to danger. Definitely tune into the movie if you're a fan of true crime stories, especially quick ones (the movie is less than 90 minutes), but skip this one if you're not a true crime doc person.
The Lincoln Lawyer season 3
Watch! Welcome back, Mickey Haller! We've missed you and your chaotic energy in the courtroom. In The Lincoln Lawyer season 3, Mickey and his team investigate the truth behind Glory Days' murder, which takes the case and ensuing courtroom battle in truly shocking places.
The season finale even features a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that sets up the not yet renewed fourth season, which we definitely need. If you haven't started watching the legal drama, now's your chance! Season 3 might just be the best season yet, and the show is still just getting started.
