Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage isn't on Netflix (yet)

Based on the original's success, the spinoff could find its way onto Netflix sometime in the future.

The Big Bang Theory universe has been on the air for nearly 20 years, and it's continuing to expand with the its third series. Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage made its premiere on CBS in October 2024 as a spinoff of the fan-favorite hit Young Sheldon. When it comes to the laughs this universe brings, the more the merrier, especially from the young married couple.

Montana Jordan and Emily Osment reprise their Young Sheldon roles as Georgie Cooper and Mandy McAllister in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. The newly married couple raise their infant daughter Cece while living with Mandy's parents Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) and Jim (Will Sasso). The series takes place in 1994 when Georgie is 19 years old and Mandy is 31.

Last year, the Warner Bros.-produced CBS comedy Young Sheldon arrived on Netflix for streaming, and all seven of its seasons are still available to stream on the platform. While it's possible that the spinoff could join its sire series on the streamer in the future, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage is not availble on Netflix yet. Here's how and where to watch the new hit comedy!

When the series could stream on Netflix

As of November 2024, it's unclear whether the series will officially make its way to Netflix after its first season finishes airing in spring 2025, but it's a definite possibility. Since Young Sheldon had such great success on streaming service, Warner Bros. and CBS will likely look to take advantage of that Netflix viewership to further help launch the series into a new staple.

Netflix and CBS have had more of a relationship in recent years, with hit shows like S.W.A.T., Evil, NCIS, and Fire Country arriving on Netflix for streaming. Each of these series have attracting popularity on Netflix, but there's still no real timeframe for the series landing on the streamer. Unlike The CW shows under the network's deal, there's no set release pattern for off-network acquisitions.

If Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage comes to Netflix, expect it sometime in late summer 2025 (at the very earliest) ahead of a surefire second season premiere in the fall. While the series hasn't yet been renewed as of this writing on Nov. 4, it's surely only a matter of time if season 1 continues to maintain steady ratings. Plus, streaming on Netflix would definitely give the show a bump next year...
