Can Ted Danson solve this mystery case this holiday season?

Ted Danson, a very famous name belonging to the successful series The Good Place, has once again landed in a light-hearted comedy, A Man On The Inside. It is based on Maite Alberdi's documentary, The Mole Agent, and thus is inspired by a true story. However, this time, he is not portrayed as a devil but rather a Private Investigator.

As the name suggests, he acts like a “Man on the Inside” in a very peculiar place of investigation: a retirement home in San Fransisco, Pacific View Retirement Home. In this series, he gets hired because there is apparently a jewel thief on the loose. And upon the complaint of an elderly affluent resident whose ruby necklace got stolen, her son hires a private investigator, aka Charles Nieuwendyk (Danson).

Here, Charles is a very interesting character because he, by profession, is an engineer and has never been trained to be a professional detective before. But even though he is a novice in this profession, he still managed to pull off this mystery case pretty well until he realized that the case was not as simple as it seemed.

Although he was very careful with his cover as an agent, as he tried to mingle and get acquainted with as many residents as he could, the suspect still seemingly was very shrewd as the fiasco sustained. Apart from the stolen jewelry, there were many belongings of other residents that continuously went missing while Charles was on his duty to uncover the robbery.

There were even instances where Didi, the Executive Director of Pacific View Retirement Home, felt many times that Charles was acting a bit too weird for a newcomer in the building but was still unable to find any evidence against him till the end.

But the case to ponder here is that, no matter how many traps Nieuwendyk created for the robber, he was still unable to catch him. It seemed like the thief was smarter and was even aware of Charles's position as an undercover agent. It looked like he was following his every move carefully.

But would Nieuwendyk be able to solve this mystery? Would he be successful in his attempt at this new career? Or will he lose some close friends that he made during his time as an agent?
