3 things to remember before The Gentlemen season 2 premieres

Unfortunately, we had to wait over two years for The Gentlemen season 2 to finally make its arrival on Netflix. The crime comedy-drama from Guy Ritchie first premiered on Netflix back in March 2024, but the highly anticipated second season drops in September 2026. That's quite a bit of time in between releases, making it highly understandable if fans forgot what last happened.

The Gentlemen stars Theo James as Eddie Horniman, who becomes the 13th Duke of Halstead following the death of his father Archibald. Not only does Eddie inherit his dad's title, but he also becomes the lead of the family and their estate, which includes an underground marijuana farm that's just the tip of the iceberg for his family's financial and legal problems to come.

By the end of The Gentlemen season 1, Eddie has grappled with a number of unexpected twists and crises of conscious that come along with entering the world of crime. Eddie and Susie reaffirm their alliance

Throughout The Gentlemen season 1, Eddie's alliance with Susie Glass, played by Kaya Scodelario, is shaky at best. She's a seasoned vet in the world he's just walking into, and the more he tries to remove himself from this world and her family's operation from his home, the more complicated and chaotic his life becomes. Clearly, it's not as easy as he expected parting ways.

While Eddie and Susie strike up an easy rapport as business partners, Susie begins to doubt Eddie ahead of the season 1 finale. She believes that he has betrayed her and turned on their business, but she soon learns that's not the case. Susie steps in to help the Horniman estate from a shootout with Dixon. But in the end, trust in restored and they are back in business.

The end of the first season finds Eddie fully leaning into a life of crime rather than trying to fight his way out. He and Susie are stronger than ever and more aligned than they had ever been. Eddie resolves to expand their business and keep it in-house, pulling the trigger to kill Collins. It's definitely a different Eddie than we're used to, but he's ready to really break bad now.

Bobby gets a new friend in "jail"

When The Gentlemen premiered and Susie said her dad was in prison, we all likely assumed that he was behind bars and serving time like any other prisoner. However, Bobby Glass spends his time at a very different kind of prison facility. It's a luxury open-air prison where he's able to roam free with lots of amenities. He's basically vacationing in a cabin as a form of punishment.

But at the end of the first season, Bobby receives a new inmate in the form of Stanley Johnston, one of the billionaires Eddie had reached out to about buying the manor. He winds up with his luxury punishment thanks to getting nabbed for tax evasion, a scheme that was fully organized by Eddie during his spree to take down the other 12 lords in the season 1 finale.

Geoff told Charly the truth about her paternity

Another major revelation was confirmed at the end of The Gentlemen season 1, and it's a secret that Sabrina and Geoff have been keeping for decades. Eddie and Freddy's sister Charlotte had been away at college for much of the first season, but when she returns ahead of the finale, she surprises her family with the fact that she's pregnant. But that's not the biggest secret.

During a conversation between Sabrina and Geoff, it's rather obvious that the pair had an affair that resulted in Charly's conception and birth. Geoff is Charly's real father, not Eddie and Freddy's father Archibald. When Charly comes home, she and Geoff have a conversation wherein she reveals that she knows the truth and he confirms as much. That's a huge shift with a new generation on the way!
