The next Stranger Things 5 episodes are coming sooner than you think

Stranger Things 5 has finally premiered on Netflix. How are you feeling? Did the final season kick off with a bang in your opinion? It surely did for us because our jaws were dropped throughout most of the first four episodes, especially in that epic showdown at the end of episode 4.

Of course, the fifth and final season isn't only made up of four episodes. There are still many more twists, turns, and shocking moments waiting for fans in the episodes to come, and the tension is only going to escalate from here. Like with the previous season, Netflix decided to split Stranger Things 5 into several parts. If you weren't aware, the entire season consists of eight episodes.

The first part dropped today, and everyone got to see the Hawkins gang back together again. However, there are two more parts to come. When will Stranger Things 5 part 2 be released on Netflix?

Sometimes, when a Netflix show is split into batches, the streaming giant places a significant gap between the release of each part, leaving fans waiting weeks or even months to see what happens next. This can build anticipation, but it also tests the patience of viewers who are eager to continue the story. Fortunately, there won't be a crazy wait for the next episodes of Stranger Things 5, meaning fans won’t be left hanging for long and can jump back into the action sooner than expected.

Stranger Things 5 part 2 will be released on Netflix on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET. These times apply to those living on the West Coast and East Coast of the United States. If you're in the Central time zone, you're looking at a release time of 7:00 p.m. CT on Dec. 25. Additionally, that's 6:00 p.m. MT. When it comes to how many episodes will drop on this date, it will be the next three. So, that's episodes 5 through 7.

Those who celebrate Christmas will have something extra to look forward to this year, as they can spend the holiday diving straight back into Hawkins and the Upside Down after unwrapping presents and stuffing themselves with holiday treats. But for those who would rather take it slow, savor each episode, or avoid the chaos of binge-watching all at once, you can still enjoy the suspenseful build-up at your own pace. Stranger Things 5 part 2 won’t disappoint no matter how you choose to watch!

The third and final part of Stranger Things 5 is set for a release on Netflix on New Year's Eve. That's Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at the same exact release time. Unlike the first two parts of the season, there aren't multiple episodes in this batch. The only episode dropping on this date is the series finale, which is sure to deliver a jaw-dropping, heart-stopping conclusion. The Duffer Brothers (show creators) have already confirmed that the Stranger Things finale will be "around two hours," so fans are in for an epic, feature-length experience.
