There's a new hit crime drama taking Netflix by storm, and we're not talking about either of the new seasons of proven hits The Lincoln Lawyer or The Night Agent. As it turns out, the beloved Netflix originals have some stiff competition from NBC's The Hunting Party, which was recently added to the streaming service and is already proving itself as a crowd pleaser.
The Hunting Party was added to Netflix on Feb. 15, and the series didn't take long to climb up near the peak of the top 10 most popular Netflix shows ranking. Being sandwiched between the likes of the two aforementioned series and fellow global Netflix smash Bridgerton is nothing to write off, especially for an underrated series that was added with little fanfare.
NBC first previewed the series in January 2025 before its official launch in February 2025, and after a successful first season, the network renewed the show for season 2. The Hunting Party kicked off its second season in January 2026, but don't expect to see those episodes rolling out on Netflix just yet. Right now, the streamer only houses the 10-episode first season.

NBC's The Hunting Party finds streaming success on Netflix
Manifest star Melissa Roxburgh stars in The Hunting Party as Rebecca "Bex" Henderson, a special agent and criminal profiler for the FBI who finds herself getting back to work, using her skills to track down killers. When a top-secret underground prison experiences an incident that releases dangerous serial killers back into the wild, Bex leads a team tasked with hunting them down.
In addition to Roxburgh leading the cast, The Hunting Party also stars Patrick Sabongui as Jacob Hassani, Josh McKenzie as Shane Florence, and Sara Garcia as Jennifer Morales. As each episode of the procedural crime drama centers on a different serial killer, viewers can also expect a revolving door of guest stars. Season 2 has already featured Eric McCormack and Liz Gillies.
After binge-watching the first season on Netflix, and hopefully loving it, there are ways that you can stream season 2 and catch up. The Hunting Party is also available to stream on Peacock, and that includes the all of the new episodes. The series airs on NBC on Thursdays, which means new episodes are added to Peacock on Fridays. From there, you could also watch live on NBC.
But there's also the hopeful chance that after the 13-episode second season completes its run later this spring, likely in May, The Hunting Party season 2 could make its way to Netflix sometime this summer or at least before the end of the year. Netflix has had a solid relationship with NBC in the past, streaming the network's past hits like The Blacklist and New Amsterdam.
Even though The Hunting Party has struggled to wow critics, it has clearly made a connection with audiences who can't get enough of the show. Between hunting down serial killers and the mystery of the secret prison, it's beyond entertaining. Now that it has even further success on Netflix, let's keep our fingers crossed that NBC opts to renew the serial killer drama for season 3!
