Don't unpack your bags and put away your passport just yet! You're going to need some luggage at the ready for our next set of trips and getaways with the best and, some might say, most dysfunctional group of friends currently on television. That's right, we have some very good news to share with fans of The Four Seasons directly from Netflix.

Following the release of The Four Seasons season 2 in May 2026, another vacation with the crew wasn't an immediate given. While the comedy series from co-creator and star Tina Fey remained well-received from critics and fans alike, the show's viewership displayed a rather steep decline. Thankfully, Netflix doesn't appear to be spooked by the drop at all.

The Four Seasons renewed for season 3 at Netflix

On June 15, Netflix's Head of Scripted Series for US and Canada, Jinny Howe, made the exciting announcement that The Four Seasons season 3 has officially been renewed while speaking at the BANFF World Media Festival. The streaming service has ordered another eight-episode season, which will see the group of friends through another full year of festivities.

The Four Seasons season 2 debuted in its opening weekend to 4.4 million views, which saw a rather steep decline from the first season's 11.9 million views for the same amount of time. The first season accumulated 24.4 million views in its first two weeks of release, but the second season can't say the same when it comes to its views, but clearly, there are more important things than ratings.

The comedy series has easily and quickly established itself as a fan-favorite, and while it might have shed some eyeballs in between seasons, The Four Seasons remains a reliable destination for the streamer. Season 2 ranked within Netflix's Top 10 in 56 countries and hasn't been pushed off of the Global Top 10 most-watched shows ranking since its release in late May.

Lately, Netflix has been handing out final season renewals to a number of its most popular series, like The Night Agent, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Emily in Paris. However, with The Four Seasons season 3 renewal, the streamer made no mention that this is intended to be the final run. That could be decided later on, but we can rest assured knowing that more seasons could be on the way, too.

In addition to the renewal, the entire main cast has been confirmed to return in season 3: Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani, Erika Henningsen, and Colman Domingo. Even though Steve Carell made a surprise return as his late character Nick in season 2, we're not expecting that particular lightning to strike twice. But David Tennant is expected to have a bigger role in season 3.

Currently, there's no timeframe in place for the third season's release, though given the quick turnaround for season 2, we're also expecting that season 3 will begin filming before the end of 2026 for another premiere the following spring. Both seasons have dropped on Netflix in May, so keep your fingers crossed that we won't have to wait much more than one year!
