As if the first season finale of The Four Seasons didn't tease plenty of big changes for the group going into season 2, the ending of the second season is dishing up even more changes should Netflix renew the hit comedy for season 3. But don't worry, the group isn't experiencing another death of one of their own this time around. Losing Steve Carell as Nick was already enough.

Throughout The Four Seasons season 2, the group grapples with Nick's loss in different ways as they learn who they are as friends and individuals without one of their best friends. In addition to mourning their friend, the group also welcomes Nick's girlfriend Ginny, who's expecting his child. On top of these changes, their solo journeys range from grief, anger, parenthood, and aging.

But how does the second season come to an end? We're diving into all the spoilers from The Four Seasons season 2 ending, including where each of the characters end up and what could be next for the group in season 3. If you haven't finished the season yet, here's your last spoiler warning!

Kate and Danny finally make up as Jack runs out his anger

In the wake of Nick's death, Jack (Will Forte) takes it upon himself to be the glue that holds the group together. He wants to honor their friend and make sure they don't grow apart in the face of grief. Obviously, it's quite the task at first and for much of the year, but he's eventually able to fulfill his goal, though that comes at the cost of himself and his marriage to Kate (Tina Fey).

Jack and Kate had been planning for most of the season to run a marathon, but Kate secretly didn't want to. After Jack's Thanksgiving injury due to angrily kicking their turkey, his injury didn't allow him to run his marathon. However, while the group's in Italy for Christmas, Jack's able to follow through on his goal and run a marathon abroad. And Kate even joins him!

But it's not just the marathon. Kate and Jack finally get to the bottom of their issues as she helps him open up about his anger and he gives her a chance to express the personal struggles she has been bottling up. In addition, Kate and Danny (Colman Domingo) repair their friendship after getting mugged, sharing a laugh, and having an honest conversation.

Anne decides to stay in Italy and meets Gianpiero

Just like all her friends, Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver) found herself at a crossroads after Nick's death. Even though they had ended their marriage because of his affair with Ginny (Erika Henningsen), his death still hits her like a ton of bricks. Despite their fight early on in the season over Nick's money, Anne and Ginny end up teaming up to help raise baby Eugene a.k.a. Gino together.

Before long, Anne and Ginny fall into a seemingly codependent existence raising the baby together, and Anne realizes that she hasn't fully found herself again post-divorce and post-Nick's passing. She had a fling with a man named Mark (Steven Pasquale) during the summer, but in Italy, she stumbles upon independence and decides to stay. She also meets Gianpiero (David Tennant), a new love interest.

Danny and Claude move to Philadelphia

Anne isn't the only one making a huge decision on where to live. Danny and Claude (Marco Calvani) end up moving to Italy after having a heated disagreement about whether to start a family. The couple very nearly pursues adoption, but when Claude reveals he no longer wants to, they pivot their future and announce their decision to move to Claude's hometown in Italy.

The gang spends Christmas with Danny and Claude in their new home in Italy, and it's clear that Danny's trying to convince himself he's happy in Italy as much as he's trying to convince his friends. He ultimately decides to stay until his mother falls and gets injured. Trying to convince her to move to Italy with them doesn't work, so Claude decides they will move in with her in Philadelphia.

Being so, The Four Seasons season 3 would find Kate and Jack with a clean slate, Danny and Claude temporarily living with Danny's mother in Philadelphia, Anne exploring her freedom and new relationship with Gianpiero in Italy, and Ginny further settling into motherhood on her own. We can only imagine where the four seasonal get togethers will take them in the future!
