How far can you go for the ones that you love?

SPELLBOUND - Coming 2024

Spellbound, as the name suggests, is a tale about a loving family affected by an evil spell. A spell so strong that completely halted the way of life that this family ever knew. But who are these people that we are talking about? Just like lots of other magical tales, this story is also about a king, a queen, and a princess.

But unlike any other enchanted tale, Spellbound is a narrative of strength among family relationships.

As we may assume, that being an animated movie, it may be for the viewership of a younger audience only. However, you realize that this is not the case once you start watching it. It is because Spellbound carries a very deep message regarding the suffering of children belonging to parents in a tumultuous relationship and how much these children would want to go leaps and bounds to help their parents get better as the whole unit gets affected due to their personal issues.

Spellbound is the kind of film anyone could - and should - enjoy

The plot revolves around how an emperor and his wife, accidently enter a dark forest and end up becoming monsters due to the negativity within them. As a result, their only daughter, the princess, tries her level best not just to conceal their reality for a year but also to keep searching for their cure till the very end by embarking on a life-threatening journey.

The movie is beautifully narrated with many light and heartwarming moments throughout. It shows, from time to time, how negativity can turn anyone into a monster, but only with positive thoughts; the same process can be reversed.

It is touching and worth noting, how Spellbound has gently brought attention towards the idea of separate but happy parenting. It’s a very positive subliminal message for all those kids, who feel that they have something less than others if they don’t have a conventional family. It’s like finding light at the end of the tunnel.

It is beautiful how the movie keeps reminding its viewers to keep hoping no matter what, even if it is not the perfect picture they imagined for themselves. Nevertheless, Spellbound is a must-watch for both young and old, as it is a kind of movie designed to, if not anything else, at least leave you with a smile in the end.
