Netflix announced the release date for the docuseries following NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal as the President of Reebok. Power Moves will drop on June 4.
Flanked by Vice President Allen Iverson, Shaq is charged with relaunching the Reebok basketball brand. Reebok gave Shaq his first break, so he wants to return the favor by putting it back on the basketball map.
Shaq and Iverson appear entertaining and engaged in the preview. Neither likes to lose, but the challenge is enormous given the sneaker competition in the NBA circles. One of their actions was to enlist Shaq's LSU compatriot and WNBA star Angel Reese to wear the shoes.
What we know about Shaq's "Power Moves" docuseries
Power Moves goes behind the scenes at Reebok's Boston headquarters, showing Shaq at work on the nuances of sneaker design and marketing. His hands-on management style is on display as he attends to all of the details for the Reebok relaunch, including attending basketball games in search of future stars to wear Reebok.
This is a six-episode docuseries. Each episode is thirty minutes long, and Shaq is an executive producer.
Shaq, the business mogul
Shaq is known for his legendary basketball career and post-playing role on TNT's Inside the NBA program; however, he is an accomplished businessman.

In November 2024, his net worth was estimated at $500 million. His business ventures include partnerships with Papa John's and Krispy Kreme. Shaq co-founded a Louisiana-style fried chicken sandwich chain called Big Chicken.
He has also owned Five Guys franchises, car washes, Las Vegas nightclubs, and real estate. Shaq received a big payoff as an investor in the Ring home security camera system, which Amazon purchased for $1 billion.
This means that Shaq is not a figurehead at Reebok. He brings his vast business experience to a beloved brand that has sentimental value for him. Watch Power Moves on Netflix, premiering June 4.
