It's going to be an extra special family affair in Running Point season 2, as Kate Hudson's family tree on the series just added another brother. Well, a real-life brother. The new season of the Netflix original comedy series will feature a guest appearance from Hudson's real-life brother Oliver Hudson, as the actor recently surprise announced his role on the red carpet.

While joining his sister as her impromptu date to the 32nd Annual Actor Awards, Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier asked the siblings if they ever discuss their projects and potentially collaborating. Frazier even specifically mentioned that Oliver should appear on Running Point, which led Kate to say he "can't" be on the show since her character already has four brothers.

"But I did an episode, and it was very, very, very fun," Oliver unexpectedly admitted, prompting his younger sister to make a sneaky and suspicious face. She raised her eyebrows and coyly teased, "Maybe he did." Oliver asked if he wasn't allowed to spill the beans about his guest spot, but Kate said, "Probably not, but it's out there now!" But it was all laughs and excitement for the new season.

Running Point season 2 premieres on Netflix on Thursday, April 23, and while we don't know who Oliver Hudson will be playing in his episode just yet, we can expect he and his sister to be sharing the screen and having lots of fun together. Frazier tried to get more details about season 2 from Oliver, but Kate laughed and pushed the microphone away from her brother. So close!

In addition to Hudson's real-life brother stepping in as a guest star for Running Point season 2, the comedy also welcomes Everybody Loves Raymond star Ray Romano as a major guest star. He will play Coach Norm Stinson, who will undoubtedly cause some stress for Isla Gordon as she continues to lead, or hopes to lead, the Los Angeles Waves basketball team to victory.

Hudson's on-screen brothers are played by Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Justin Theroux, and Fabrizio Guido, who are all part of the Waves basketball dynasty. This season, Cam (Theroux) continues his attempts to unseat Isla as president to reclaim his position. This season also stars Brenda Song, Chet Hanks, Toby Sandeman, and Uche Agada.

A number of recurring and guest stars have already been announced for season 2 beyond Romano, and that includes returning stars like Max Greenfield and Jay Ellis, as well as newcomers Ken Marino, Tommy Dewey, Richa Moorjani, Jake Picking, Blake Anderson, Duby Maduegbunam, and Aliyah Turner. However, other surprise stars like Oliver Hudson have yet to be announced.
