It's a new month, and with it comes new shows and movies on Netflix. One of the new Netflix shows you should be on the lookout for in March is the crime drama The Gentlemen. It stars Emmy nominee Theo James as a British soldier who unexpectedly inherits his family's massive estate as well as the large weed empire underneath the property. It is slated to be released on Netflix on March 7, so mark your calendar!

You might be wondering why this upcoming Netflix series sounds so familiar. It's probably because you watched the 2019 movie of the same name. This new show is considered an extension of The Gentlemen movie, which was written, directed, and produced by English filmmaker Guy Ritchie. Ritchie came up with the story for the movie with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies. He's best known for directing the period mystery films Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

Unfortunately, The Gentlemen movie does not have a streaming home, meaning it's not available to stream on Netflix or any other streaming platform. The only way you can watch this film is by renting or purchasing it digitally through Amazon Video, Apple TV, Google Play, YouTube, Vudu, or the Microsoft Store. You can rent the movie for $3.99 before taxes or buy it for $12.99 before taxes through any of the websites just listed.

The Gentlemen was released in theaters back in January 2020 and was a box office hit. It managed to gross $115 million worldwide against a $22 million budget. Critics had mostly positive things to say about the action comedy flick, with many praising the movie for its visuals, intriguing mystery, and well-written script, among other things.

Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey stars in the leading role of cannabis baron, Michael "Mickey" Pearson. Joining McConaughey in the cast are Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, Hugh Grant, and others.
