Meet the action stars of Lift (full cast and character guide)

Netflix has delivered many heist movies and shows, including Army of Thieves, Money Heist, and Red Notice. The streaming giant is set to add another one to the list with the Kevin Hart-led Lift. The action-comedy comes from the writer of 12 Rounds, Daniel Kunka, and is directed by action-thriller mastermind F. Gary Gary. 

Lift follows the story of Cyrus Whitaker, an international heist team leader who gathers a group of like-minded thieves to lift 500 million dollars in gold from a plane over 40,000 feet in the air. Cyrus and his team must complete the mission before the gold ends up in the wrong hands. 

The cast is filled with highly recognizable faces while sprinkling in some new faces to get familiar with. Kevin Hart leads the cast, which includes Daredevil's Vincent D'Onofrio, Surface's Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Avatar's Sam Worthington. Get to know all of the cast members and characters!

Kevin Hart as Cyrus Whitaker

The mastermind behind the Lift team is Cyrus Whitaker. He finds himself pigeonholed into working for the government for one more heist. Comedian/movie star Kevin Hart plays Cyrus. Kevin Hart was born on July 6, 1979, making the comedian 44 years old as of January 2024. After breaking into the stand-up comedy scene, Hart switched to television and movies in the Judd Apatow series Undeclared.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Abby Gladwell

Abby Gladwell is a hard-nosed Interpol agent who has a little desire to recruit Cyrus and his team for the latest mission. However, under her leadership, she gives him and the team a chance. She's played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who delivered a brilliant performance in the Apple TV+ series Surface.

Vincent D’Onofrio as Denton

Denton is a close friend and a permanent fixture in Cyrus's crew. The talented Vincent D'Onofrio plays the character. D'Onofrio is most notably known for his role as Detective Robert Goren on the crime series Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Úrsula Corberó as Camila

Camila is Cryus's getaway driver who is prepared for anything he throws her way. Actress Úrsula Corberó plays Camilla and is very familiar with the heist drama as she starred in the series Money Heist as Tokyo.

Sam Worthington as Dennis Huxley

Interpol boss Dennis Huxley is convinced by his employee Abby to bring Cyrus into the team as he is desperate to stop the gold from falling into anyone else's hands. Actor Sam Worthington plays the Interpool boss, most notably recognized as Jake Sully in James Cameron's Avatar movies.

Billy Magnussen as Magnus

Every heist team needs a safecracker, which is what Magnus brings to the table. The wise-cracking man is played by Billy Magnussen, known for his roles in Game Night and Into the Woods.
