All eight seasons of the smash-hit crime drama series Dexter are set to be released on Netflix soon, and new and old viewers are eager to start their binge sessions. How soon, you ask? Well, the complete series is slated to drop on June 19, so we're only a couple of days away from its release.

The Emmy Award-winning series was developed by James Manos Jr. and was initially based on Jeff Lindsay's 2004 novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter. It aired on Showtime for eight seasons from October 2006 to September 2013 and starred Golden Globe Award-winning actor Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, a full-time Miami-based forensic analyst specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis who lives a secret double life as a serial killer hunting down and murdering the guilty.

Joining Hall in the cast were Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, Erik King, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, James Remar, C. S. Lee, Desmond Harrington, Aimee Garcia, Geoff Pierson, and many others. Overall, the show received mostly positive reviews throughout its run, even winning multiple prestigious awards. But sadly, the crime drama came to an end with its eighth season in 2013. Then, seven years later, a 10-episode limited series titled Dexter: New Blood was announced, serving as a continuation of the series.

Unfortunately, that show won't be landing on Netflix on June 19 along with the original series, but we'll definitely let you know if this ever happens in the future. So, at what time is Dexter dropping on the streaming platform? Find out right below!
