What to expect from Unstable season 2

When we last left the Dragon boys in Unstable's first season finale, Ellis lit his frenemy's car on fire, and that spur-of-the-moment choice of revenge has the biotech billionaire fearing that he will be locked up. Naturally, as seen in the trailer and the exclusive first four minutes of season 2 released by Netflix, Ellis has started preparations for his expected jail time.

However, the clip quickly reveals that prison isn't in Ellis' future thanks to Anna's connections. Elsewhere in the second season, Ellis continues to put Jackson through his paces in order to make sure his son can step up when it's time and take over the Dragon mantle. Surely, it's not so cut and dry and there are still more differences for the father and son to work out.

Check out the official season 2 synopsis via Netflix:

"In season two of Unstable, universally admired, eccentric, narcissist-adjacent biotech entrepreneur Ellis Dragon (Rob Lowe) lays out a series of challenges and mind games for his son Jackson (John Owen Lowe) to see if he has what it takes to succeed him as the heir to the Dragon empire, but does a newcomer have other ideas?"

Season 2 will also welcome a couple new faces to the cast, including New Girl and Emmy-nominated Fargo star Lamorne Morris as Peter, a biotech rival for Ellis to butt heads with. It's going to be amazing to see these two hilarious actors go toe-to-toe. Also, Knocked Up and The Bubble actress Iris Apatow plays Georgia, Anna's stepdaughter and new Dragon intern.

Clearly, there's a lot to look forward to from the underrated Netflix original comedy series. If you have been looking for laughs and want to watch something lighter, you can't go wrong with Unstable. The best part? You can start from the beginning and won't have missed a thing. All told, both seasons combined contain 16 total episodes and make for a super entertaining binge-watch.
