What is Exploding Kittens about?

Exploding Kittens serves up a timeless tale of cosmic proportions -- good versus evil, with a whiskery twist! When God and the Devil find themselves banished to Earth, their celestial forms are swapped for those of ordinary house cats. But here's the kicker -- they're not just any cats; they just so happen to also be neighbors. According to the official synopsis from Netflix Media Center:

"Earth sucks, so God (Tom Ellis) gets fired and sent to Earth to reconnect with humanity. The catch? He's trapped in the body of a chubby house cat. As part of his rehabilitation, he moves in with a dysfunctional family and tries to solve their problems, but ends up spending a lot of time chasing laser pointers. And to top it off, Godcat’s next-door neighbor, who is also a cat, turns out to be none other than his nemesis, the Antichrist. The result is the ultimate fight between good versus evil…except, Godcat (Ellis) is distracted by a pigeon he saw in the yard and Devilcat (Sasheer Zamata) is busy napping on someone’s laptop."

Who’s in the cast of Exploding Kittens?

The cat-sting for Exploding Kittens was meticulously curated, according to co-showrunner Matthew Inman, they wanted to “find a voice that had a godly, old-world quality to it, while also being funny and charming.” Thus, Tom Ellis was the paw-fect choice! As for Devil Cat, they wanted someone who could be "basically the antichrist with a heart of gold" which Sasheer Zamata captures purrr-fectly.

Joining Tom Ellis and Sasheer Zamata are a talented lineup of voices:

  • Suzy Nakamura as Abbie
  • Mark Proksch as Marv
  • Ally Maki as Greta
