The CW's 100 Days to Indy is coming to Netflix: When to start watching

If you're a fan of Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix, then the streamer has another treat for you while you wait for the next season of the docuseries. Another documentary series centered around racecar driving and its drivers. The first season of The CW's 100 Days to Indy will be arriving on Netflix in April 2024 ahead of the show's second season premiere later the same month.

The six-episode documentary series takes fans behind the scenes of the IndyCar as the top talents prepare for the 100-day road leading up to the big event in the 2023 season. 100 Days to Indy season 1 featured appearances by Josef Newgarden, Helio Castroneves, Pato O'Ward, Christian Lundgaard, Colton Herta, Kyle Kirkwood, Felix Rosenqvist, Katherine Legge, Simon Pagenaud, and more.

"The 100-day window is benchmarked by drama, intrigue and fierce competition from the very first race of the season all the way to the checkered flag at the Indy 500. For the winner, it is a life-changing experience, etching his or her name into the history books. This year, four-time Indy 500 winner and former Dancing With the Stars champion Helio Castroneves is eyeing a record fifth win, but will face stiff competition from a rising generation of young talent all eyeing the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” and its multi-million dollar purse. 100 DAYS TO INDY will showcase what it takes to compete at the highest levels and at the height of danger, while providing a window into the on and off-track lives of some of the sport’s most engaging drivers."

Before season 2 makes its premiere on The CW in April 2024, the first season arrives just a couple weeks earlier for streaming on Netflix. Catch up on 100 Days to Indy when the six-part first season drops on Thursday, April 4 on Netflix. Like most new releases on the streamer, the series starts streaming at 12 a.m. PDT and 3 a.m. EDT. In spite of less than stellar ratings, even for The CW, the network renewed the docuseries for a second season in February 2024. No doubt, becoming available to stream on a wider platform like Netflix will surely help distribute the show to those who might not have watched on The CW and inspire more viewers to check out season 2 as it airs.

Season 2 premieres in April with new cast members

100 Days to Indy season 2 premieres on Friday, April 26 at 9/8c. New episodes will stream on The CW's website and app the day after airing. According to Deadline, the second season will again feature driver Josef Newgarden as he looks to defend his winning title. The follow-up season will also star IndyCar talents like Pato O'Ward, Marcus Ericsson, Alex Palou, and Kyle Larson in what's said to be his first time competing in the Indy 500.

That sounds like an amazing lineup of stars to keep up with behind the scenes of what's shaping up to be an intriguing season for the sport. The second season will again feature six episodes.
