Now that we're in the thick of summer, you're likely trying to stay out of the hot weather and cool down. If you would much rather feel the heat indoors, Netflix has plenty of sexy movies starring some of Hollywood's hottest stars being added to its ranks throughout July.
From one of Jennifer Lopez's sexiest thriller movies to a new Netflix original romantic comedy, there's something for everyone when it comes to sexy movies. Last month, Fifty Shades of Grey was one of the many sexy movies on Netflix, and now the movie's two sequels arrive this month.
Throwbacks, recent favorites, and a new premiere are among the movies romance fans should be checking out on Netflix in July. Let's get the list started with The Boy Next Door, a J.Lo blockbuster that's nothing like her most recent streamer hit Atlas.
The Boy Next Door (2015)
From Blumhouse and Lopez's own Nuyorican Productions, The Boy Next Door was released in 2015 and became a surprise box office hit. The movie had a budget of $4 million, which it made back on its first day of release when it brought in $5.7 million. Eventually, the thriller made over $52 million. Lopez stars as a high school teacher who sleeps with her 19-year-old neighbor Noah (Ryan Guzman). His obsession with her takes an uncomfortable and dangerous turn. John Corbett, Ian Nelson, and Kristin Chenoweth also star. (begins streaming July 16)
Find Me Falling (2024)
The new Netflix original romantic comedy movie Find Me Falling might not be sexy in the traditional sense, but there's surely plenty to find sexy in the movie. Harry Connick Jr. stars as John Allman, a musician whose career has entered a stage of disappointment. He seeks relaxation in Cyprus, but he soon begins to reconnect with an old flame. Netflix has had a successful string of original romantic comedy movies this year, and Find Me Falling will definitely be the next one to have viewers head over heels this summer. (begins streaming July 19)
Call Me By Your Name (2017)
Based on the book of the same name by André Aciman, Call Me By Your Name was a star-making movie for leading actor Timothée Chalamet. The actor landed an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in the Luca Guadagnino romantic drama film. The movie takes place in Italy in 1983 as 17-year old Elio falls for the 24-year-old student of his father's staying with his family during the summer. A passionate love affair ensues between the two men. Call Me By Your Name also landed an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. (begins streaming July 1)
The Sweetest Thing (2002)
This one's definitely sexy! The Sweetest Thing was released back in 2002 and is without a doubt one of the most underrated romantic comedies of all time as well as one of Cameron Diaz's most underrated movies, too. The R-rated raunchy rom-com centers on a woman who avoids relationships until she meets the man that changes that mindset. When she misses her opportunity to make her move, she and her friend set out on a road trip to find him. (begins streaming July 1)
Magic Mike XXL (2015)
More magic, more Mike! Magic Mike XXL hit theaters in July 2015 as the sequel to the hit 2012 film Magic Mike. Unfortunately, it didn't have the same impact as its predecessor, but the sequel has all the same sexiness. How could it not when it's again centered in the world of male exotic dancing? The sequel brings all the stars back (besides Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer) for another round of clothing optional adventures. Sadly, the most recent sequel, 2023's Magic Mike's Last Dance, already came and went on Netflix. (begins streaming July 1)
Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Freed (2018)
In June, Fifty Shades of Grey was added to Netflix and once again became a hit as the nearly 10-year-old movie hit the top 10 thanks to fans rewatching. Well, in July, you can now have a full marathon of the sexy trilogy of movies. Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed continue the story of Ana and Christian's steamy love story and brings it to a romantic ending. Make it a movie night with the trilogy, but do be warned, these are the most explicit movies featured on this list! (begins streaming July 16)
