3. One Day

Netflix's new hit romantic limited series One Day is a true celebration of a second chance slow-burn romance that will tear your heart in two by the end of its 14 episodes. Emma and Dexter meet on their college graduation day, have an awkward romantic encounter, and become friends for most of their adult lives. But as they ignore their romantic feelings, they just grow and grow. As a romantic series, the overall romance between Emma and Dexter is supremely effective. You can't help but yearn alongside them and wish for them to finally be together and have their happily ever after.

2. Virgin River

If you're a Virgin River fan, you're looking at the series in the No. 2 spot thinking, "How does it get more romantic than Mel and Jack?!" And you're honestly not wrong! Netflix's signature romantic drama series brought a bit of the Hallmark Channel's wholesome brand of romance with a touch of Netflix flair and it's nothing short of a phenomenon. However, Virgin River most likely wouldn't be what it's become without the core relationship between Mel and Jack.

The show features a number of lovable couples, including Doc and Hope, and love triangles that have fans debating up and down the internet. (Brady and Brie or Brie and Mike?!) It's all about love in Virgin River (the series and the town), whether romantic, paternal, or platonic. It's hopeful and endearing and romantic in all the ways that allow our hearts to safely skip a beat. All of the love each couples share is wonderful, but Mel and Jack are the ones that keep us coming back.

1. Bridgerton

How could any other romantic Netflix show take the top spot other than Bridgerton? From the moment the series premiered on Christmas Day 2020, the steamy Regency series became an instant favorite. Those obsessed with Julia Quinn's series of book became equally obsessed with the series, and it's no wonder why. The amazing period costumes, the incredible storytelling, and oh, yeah... the sexy romance between each season's central couple.

In the first season, Bridgerton focused on the romance between Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Bassett ("The Duke"), while the second centered on the love affair between Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. In the third season, Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington will have their hot and heavy moment in the sun, and the seasons will go from there. Even the prequel miniseries Queen Charlotte featured the same level of sexy romance. If you're in search of romance, look no further than the entire Bridgerton universe. It's enough to make you blush!
