Happy April! Netflix is gearing up for a great month with outstanding new releases throughout. Two of the biggest new titles are White Collar and Sex and the City. Check out our recommendations for five great rom-com series on Netflix.

Sex and the City

Created by Darren Star for HBO, Sex and the City has been a favorite of many viewers for years. Now Netflix has the entire series ready to binge.

Starring Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York, and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, the series is based on Candace Bushnell's newspaper column and book anthology and has received as much acclaim.

Sex and the City focuses on four tight-knit friends living in New York City who experience life together, and the show tackles relevant issues of the modern woman, including sexuality, friendship, and femininity. Sex and the City is known for setting fashion trends as the series showcases a wide range of beautiful, trendy (at the time), and often outlandish fashions.

Emily in Paris

Another Darren Star series on Netflix is Emily in Paris, which follows the adventures of Emily Cooper, portrayed by Lily Collins, an American who moves from Chicago to Paris to take on a job at the French marketing firm Savoir.

In a clash of cultures, Emily perseveres as she adjusts to life in Paris, meeting new friends and new loves while juggling her demanding career. The series also stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, Camille Razat, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount.

Girls5Eva

Girls5Eva recently moved from Peacock to Netflix for its third season release, and the move includes seasons 1 & 2, which are also available on the streamer. The series features a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90s who experience a second chance when a modern rapper samples their single.

Starring Sara Bareilles, Busy Phillips, Paula Pell, and Renée Elise Goldsberry, the series follows the women through the highs and lows of stardom while they navigate family and relationships. The series features amazing guest stars, including Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Dean Winters, Tina Fey, Vanessa Williams, Tim Meadows, Mario Lopez and more.

Workin' Moms

Workin' Moms is a great show to watch if you are a mom and need to feel that you are doing a great job. Full of comedy and romance, this series shows what it is to be a mom who gets frazzled, makes mistakes, and kicks ass at being a woman who has it all. The show stars Catherine Reitman, Jessalyn Wanlim, Dani Kind, Enuka Okuma, and Juno Rinaldi as four working moms who return to work after maternity leave and juggle kids, bosses, love, and more set in modern-day Toronto.

Firefly Lane

Drama, romance, and comedy, Firefly Lane has it all. Based on the novels by Kristin Hannah, the series was created by Maggie Friedman for Netflix. The two-season series follows Tully Hart (Katherine Heighl) the host of daytime talk show The Girlfriend Hour, and her childhood best friend Kate Mularkey (Sarah Chalke), a housewife longing to re-enter the workforce. The story is told from when they were growing up in the 1970s to their adulthood in the mid-2000s.
