Sex and the City cast ages: How old were the main four then (and now)?

Sarah Jessica Parker stars as New York City sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw, who philosophizes on the ups and downs of her relationships and those of her friends Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall).

For six seasons, two movies, and now a continuation series, fans have embarked on a journey of love and sex with four characters who feel like our best friends. Now with the convenience and reach of Netflix, we get to experience the strut down memory lane all over again. Let's look back at the cast's ages then and now and share a bit about what they have been up to since the show ended 20 years ago.

Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw

Sarah Jessica Parker was born on March 25, 1965, which makes the Carrie Bradshaw actress 59 years old as of April 2024. When she first took on her now-iconic role on Sex and the City upon its premiere on HBO in June 1998, Parker was 33 years old. Given Carrie's supposed to be about 32 at the start of the series, the actress and the character are basically the same age.
