Rebel Moon part 2, The Circle season 6, and 5 more new releases on Netflix this weekend, Apr. 19-21

This week on Netflix, subscribers will be privy to the second half of Zack Snyder's behemoth space epic Rebel Moon and the return of some comfort television in the form of new episodes of The Upshaws.

Plus, a new nature documentary narrated by Cate Blanchett, a popular reality television show, and the addition of a very popular Starz series that should attract a legion of new fans to a series that was often underrated while on the air.

Here's what to watch on Netflix this weekend.

Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver

I didn't care for Rebel Moon Part One and I know I wasn't alone in feeling that way, so it'll be interesting to see how the second part of Zack Snyder's massive space opera film series pans out on Netflix. Part Two sees Kora (Sofia Boutella) and the other warriors prepping to defend their homeland from the Realm. More character motivations and backstories will be revealed in part two.

And remember, there are still two, extended, R-rated cuts of Rebel Moon on the way from Snyder and co., expected to release this summer at some point. So if you can't get enough of Rebel Moon, well, there's more on the way.

The Circle season 6

AI enters the game in the latest season of The Circle, a strategic reality competition series that dares contestants to catfish and lie to one another to chase a big cash prize at the end. Now in its sixth season, The Circle aims to shake things up a bit with a new location (Atlanta, Georgia) and the addition of artificial intelligence as a chatbot is part of the main cast.

Will the other contestants be fooled? This season kicked off with its first batch of episodes on Wednesday, April 17, which includes four installments. New episodes drop every Wednesday until the finale on May 8.

The Upshaws part 5

The Upshaws part 4 left fans with a cliffhanger that will be addressed right away in the new batch of episodes. Part 5 continues following Bernie (Mike Epps), his wife Regina (Kim Fields), and their children. Also starring Wanda Sykes as Lucretia, who we last saw selling off her house and garage at the end of part 4, meaning she'll be around her brother-in-law much more moving forward, for better and for worse. As always, expect the show to be hilarious as the family deals with the ups and downs of life and a few major surprises. The sitcom has also already been renewed for a part 6.

Our Living World

A stunning nature documentary series narrated by A-list Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett, Our Living World features four episodes exploring the planetary life support system, including resourcefulness and interconnectedness of the life on earth. It focuses on all creatures, even the microscopic ones, and how they work together to keep life afloat.

Black Sails

Often hailed as one of the best shows of all time, the underrated Starz series Black Sails has just landed on Netflix and now newcomers will get to appreciate this sexy pirate adventure telling the tales of Captain Flint and his crew during the Golden Age of priates in the early 1700s. The series serves as a prequel to the iconic Robert Louis Stevenson novel Treasure Island. All four seasons are now streaming.
