Parasyte: The Grey cast: Who stars in the new Korean sci-fi horror series on Netflix?

Parasyte: The Grey is now streaming on Netflix, and there's no other show besides this sci-fi horror series that you should be watching right now. I promise it'll capture your interest from the very first episode and you'll want to see everything to the end.

But wait! We must share with you what the show is about and who stars in it before you start your binge-session. That way, you have an idea of what you're about to watch and who you're about to see.

Let me start off by saying that it's a live-action adaptation of another piece of work. It's based on the best-selling Japanese manga series Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki. Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho directed the series. In addition, he co-wrote the scripts with Ryu Yong-jae.

The story is set in a fictional South Korean city called Namil. One day, unidentified parasitic creatures fall from the sky and begin taking over the bodies of humans in an effort to take over humankind. This leads to an anti-parasite task force being formed with their job being to eradicate all parasitic organisms. Season 1 mainly centers around a young woman who becomes a half-mutant after a parasite isn't able to completely take over her body. Now, she must learn to co-exist with the parasite, which she quickly realizes isn't easy to do.

Talented South Korean actress Jeon So-nee stars in the leading role of Jeong Su-in, a young woman who becomes infected by a parasite and must learn to live with it. Su-in was living an ordinary life before the parasitic creatures arrived on Earth. She worked as a cashier at a supermarket. One night, she's followed home by an angry customer and almost loses her life. But she's saved when a parasite enters her body. The parasite's job is to completely take over a human's body, but this particular one failed to do so. Now, Su-in is in some sort of strange coexistence with it.

Koo Kyo-hwan plays the role of Seol Kang-woo, a member of the Mangnani Gang who becomes a close ally of Su-in. When we meet Kang-woo, he's been given a job to kill a boss of a rival gang. However, he's unable to do so and now he's on the run. He returns to his childhood home to lay low and finds his older sister acting strangely and his younger sister missing. Where could his younger sister be? Kang-woo is determined to find out.

Now, she's willing to do whatever it takes to rid the world of all parasites.
