On Sept. 30, Netflix officially revealed No Good Deed will drop its eight-episode first season on Thursday, Dec. 12. The season will begin streaming at midnight PT and 3 a.m. ET as with the vast majority of Netflix new releases. The series executive produced with Will Ferrell has definitely been among the most highly anticipated new series of 2024.

No Good Deed stars '90s sitcom veterans Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano as couple Lydia and Paul as they decide to pursue selling their Los Angeles home. However, the empty nesters learn that their 1920s Spanish-style house comes highly coveted to a number of buyers. According to the synopsis, Lydia and Paul attempt to hide the "dark and dangerous secrets" contained in their home.
But inevitably, those secrets will surely come out one way or another, and they will have to face whatever might have happened in the past in order to move forward. As Dead to Me watchers know well, solving one problem likely creates another problem that's somehow 100 times worse. We can only imagine what's in store for Lydia and Paul and their real estate nightmare.
The original teaser features limited dialogue, but the cast will certainly have you sold. Linda Cardellini makes the first appearance in the teaser, and she's completely transformed from her role as Judy in Dead to Me. As Margo Starling, she's glamorous in red wedge heels, blonde-highlighted waves, and oversized sunglasses. Is she a potential buyer or is she the realtor selling the home?
Fellow cast members Luke Wilson, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, Denis Leary, Teyonah Parris, and O-T Fagbenle appear in the teaser as buyers attending the open house of Lydia and Paul's home. In a locked bedroom, Kudrow and Romano make their first appearance as the couple, who watch security camera footage of the people touring their home. They're startled when the doorknob rattles.
Without giving away too much of the plot, the No Good Deed teaser does exactly what a good teaser should do: Leave you wanting more! We know what to expect from the series, and that's clearly the unexpected. There's the threat of potential danger with a saw, a gun, and... was that a dead body?! As if the cast and creator didn't already have everyone excited to watch, the teaser was the icing on the cake.
According to a press release from Netflix, the first season will also feature recurring or guest starring appearances from Matt Rogers, Kate Moennig, Chloe East, Rory Scovel, Wyatt Aubrey, Kevin Alves, Linda Lavin, and Anna Maria Horsford. Get ready for incredible laughs, gripping mystery, and a tour-de-force cast that's destined to result in one of the best new shows of the year.
