Following last week's abbreviation thanks to the Labor Day holiday weekend, it's the first full week of September, and Netflix isn't messing around. Hot off of The Perfect Couple's success on the television charts and Rebel Ridge's success on the movie charts, the new weeks brings a pair of brand-new scripted original releases that are sure to set our watch lists ablaze.

After a brief one-month hiatus, everyone's favorite American in Paris, the one and only Emily Cooper, returns with further adventures in life and love. Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 arrives to bring the romantic comedy show's strongest season yet to its conclusion. As for movies, The Kissing Booth trilogy and A Family Affair star Joey King returns to Netflix with the dystopian sci-fi flick Uglies.

If you're hoping to ease out of summer and dive into fall, this is the perfect week to do so with a selection of three Netflix new releases that are sure to inspire a week's worth of cozy binge-watches and movie nights. Here are just three of the week's best new movies and shows to add to your watch list right now, beginning below with Emily in Paris season 4 part 2.

Emily in Paris season 4 heads to Rome

Did you miss her? Well, she's back! Emily in Paris season 4 comes to a conclusion by becoming Emily in Rome. But before Emily jets off to Italy to seemingly mix business and pleasure per the trailer, she will have a fateful holiday ski trip. With Camille still holding tight to her pregnancy secret, Emily and Gabriel's relationship remains delicate, priming her to be swept off her feet by handsome Italian businessman Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini). What's going to happen next for Emily? Don't miss a second of season 4's final five episodes when they drop on Sept. 12.

Joey King's latest Netflix movie Uglies

Keeping the momentum from her summer movie hits with Netflix's A Family Affair and the animated big-screen blockbuster Despicable Me 4, Joey King notches another potential hit for 2024 with the dystopian sci-fi movie Uglies. Based on the book of the same name by Scott Westerfeld, the movie centers on the rebellion that ensues when a teenager refuses the cosmetic procedure that will make her "pretty." There are other familiar Netflix faces in the movie, including Outer Banks star Chase Stokes and Orange Is the New Black favorite Laverne Cox, so do not sleep on this exciting new movie!
