You binge-watched all four episodes of Bridgerton season 3 part 1 in one sitting. Now, what do you do? That's the big question. Luckily, we have a list of five Netflix shows for you to watch while you wait for Bridgerton season 3 part 2.
You don't have to wait too long until the remaining four episodes of season 3 are available to stream. Part 2 hits Netflix on Thursday, June 13. But, four weeks is a long time to wait when you just watched the first four episodes of the season in four hours.
Thankfully, Netflix has tons of good shows. We picked five romantic shows you'll love while you wait for season 3 part 2. Let's get the list started with the Bridgerton prequel series!
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
The first show on the list is an easy choice! I'm surprised how many people who like Bridgerton haven't actually seen Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. For me, it's actually better in a few ways than the original series.
Queen Charlotte premiered on Netflix in the spring of 2023. The series follows the relationship of Queen Charlotte, played by India Amarteifio and Golda Rosheuvel, and King George, played by Corey Mylchreest and James Fleet. There are a bunch of familiar faces in Queen Charlotte, although they might be a little bit younger. The series does a good job of expanding the world and explaining one of the most intriguing characters in Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte.
Outlander
Outlander is another favorite among Netflix viewers who like Bridgerton. The romantic period drama is based on the book series of the same name by Diana Gabaldon. The series tells the century-spanning love story between Claire Randall, played by Caitríona Balfe, and Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan.
Outlander season 6 was just added to Netflix recently! So, if you've been watching Outlander on Netflix and need to watch the new-ish season, the time is now!
Look, I don't totally understand Outlander. I've seen a few seasons. It's not my favorite shows, but you're going to love it if you like the Bridgerton vibes, steamy scenes, and a little time travel.
The Empress
The Empress is probably the most like Bridgerton on this list. It's a German Netflix original series that tells the story of Elisabeth von Wittelsbach, played by Devrim Lingnau, who marries the Emperor of Austria and becomes the Empress of Austria. She tries to adjust to life in a high-stakes royal court.
There's only one season of The Empress on Netflix, but there's another season on the way! The Empress season 2 arrives later this year.
Emily in Paris
Emily in Paris season 4 is officially done filming and coming to Netflix later this year! It's now the perfect time to watch or re-watch one of the best Netflix romantic shows of all time.
Lily Collins stars as Emily Cooper, a marketing expert, who moves from the US to Paris for a new job opportunity in the fashion world. She manages life, love, and her career over the course of three seasons, but things don't always work out quite as Emily plans. Love triangles, drama, and feelings often get in the way. It's sometimes messy, but it's always lovely.
Emily in Paris season 4 premieres on Aug. 15 only on Netflix!
Virgin River
Virgin River is one of the most popular romantic dramas on Netflix. The series tells the story of the star-crossed lovers of Virgin River, Mel and Jack, played by Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson. Do they have what it takes to beat the odds in a small town full of gossips, crime, scandal, drama, and a bunch of lovely older people? We'll have to wait and see!
There are five seasons of Virgin River on Netflix! Virgin River season 6 wraps production soon, according to Henderson, but unfortunately, season 6 won't be on Netflix until 2025.
I make a lot jokes about Virgin River, but this show is wildly entertaining! I can't wait to see what's in store in season 6.
That's the list of shows to watch while you wait for Bridgerton season 3 part 2 in June! You can probably watch all of them while you wait, and you should!
