It's April, and Netflix is celebrating by bringing a ton of new movies and shows to their lineup. There are over 50 movies and/or shows headed to Netflix this week! We usually see a lot at the beginning of the month, but this is still more than usual. Some of the new additions include a new movie based on a true story, a new Andrew Scott series, and a sequel to a millennial favorite. There are also a ton of franchise films coming as well.

First up is Scoop. The movie about the interview between the BBC and Prince Andrew is headed to the streaming service on Friday, April 5, 2024. The film stars Gillian Anderson, Billie Piper, Rufus Sewell, Keeley Hawes, and Romola Garai. It follows the journalists and how they were able to get the exclusive interview with such an elusive source. It also covers when the news leaks of Prince Andrew's connection to Jeffrey Epstein and the subsequent FBI raid on Epstein's house.

Andrew Scott's newest series, Ripley, is also coming to Netflix this week. You can start streaming it on Thursday, April 4. Beyond Scott, the series stars Johnny Flynn, Dakota Fanning, and Maurizio Lombardi. The show tells the story of Ripley, a grifter and con man who is hired by a wealthy man in New York in the 1960s. What follows is a story of deceit, fraud, and murder. It's based on the book (and the movie), The Talented Mr. Ripiley by Patricia Highsmith.
