Netflix is adding 16 new movies and shows this week (Feb. 4, 2024)

A new week is here and that means Netflix is adding plenty of new movies and shows. This week's new additions include a popular series from the early 2000s, a new Netflix Original series, and a thrilling drama that all begins with a mysterious manuscript.

First up this week is Monk! The well-loved series about a detective with OCD is finally coming to Netflix. All eight seasons hit the streaming service on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024. The series stars Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk who must figure out how to solve murders as a private consultant for the police while also struggling with his mental illness.

More in the mood for some romance? It is February after all! One Day is headed to Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 8. The series follows Emma and Dexter throughout the years. After their first meeting, they meet every year on the same day. They do this over a period of 20 years. We see their struggles, their love for one another, and the obstacles that get in their way of being together.

The series stars Ambika Mod, Leo Woodall, Amber Grappy, Brendan Quinn, Jonny Weldon, Tim McInnerny, Eleanor Tomlinson, and Essie Davis.

Ashes is also headed to Netflix this week. The Turkish drama will be available to stream on Friday, Feb. 9. The movie all starts with a manuscript. Gokce is the wife of the owner of a publishing house and she reads all the manuscripts he receives. But one manuscript is about to change her life when she goes out seeking an experience that is eerily similar to the story she is reading.
