A new week is here and with it comes a bunch of new movies and shows to Netflix! When you're not watching the Olympics, Netflix has plenty to check out this week, including a new nature docuseries, a new season of a fan-favorite Netflix original, and a new baking competition show.
First up this week is Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough! It comes to Netflix on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024. David Attenborough is back with a new docuseries, and this time, it's all about the sounds animals make. The creators used special technology to capture these sounds and make it so it feels like you're actually there hearing them for yourself.

Next up this week is the return of The Umbrella Academy! Fans have been waiting for what feels like forever for this one. Season 4 hits Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 8. This season, the siblings are without their powers and there are new enemies who want to destroy them. How are they going to survive without the powers that have made them so successful in the past? We'll all have to watch and see! This will be the final season of the series.

More in the mood for some sweet treats? Blue Ribbon Baking Championship will start streaming on Netflix on Friday, Aug. 9! The show will feature bakers who have won competitions at their local state fairs and pit them against each other for the ultimate baking challenge. But what does the winner receive? Oh, just $100,000! Jason Biggs will host the show with Sandra Lee, former White House pastry chef Bill Yosses, and baker Bryan Ford as judges.
