7 AMC shows on Netflix you need to check out

Interview with the Vampire

The first season of Interview with the Vampire is now available to stream on Netflix. This series did make a few changes to the Anne Rice novel, including changing the time period and aging up Claudia, but the story is still relatively true to the book. It’s a beautiful and well-written adaptation that is sure to leave you wanting more.

The first season gets you up to when Louis and Claudia have to leave New Orleans for Europe. In the present day, we see more of Daniel as he hears the story from Louis, and yes, Armand is there as well!

The second season is available to stream on AMC+. There is a third season in the works.

However, she’ll have no choice when she finds a rare book that witches, demons, and vampires have been looking for. Meanwhile, she comes across Matthew, a vampire who is looking into while his species is dying. What happens when the two start to fall in love?

TURN: Washington Spies

This AMC series has been on Netflix for some time, and it is a must-watch. As you would guess from the title, it is set during the Revolutionary War. While it does take some liberties with real history, there are some brilliant moments and the overall message is true.

The story follows a group of farmers who live in the colonies. They are done with the way of the British soldiers, and they decide to put their lives on the line to help Washington’s cause for freedom come true.

All seasons of the series are on Netflix, allowing for the perfect binge-watch for period drama fans.

Alexandra Daddario from White Lotus stars as Rowan Fielding, an intuitive neurosurgeon who learns that she is the heiress of a family of witches. As she gains new powers, she has to learn how to control them while dealing with the sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.

A second season is on its way to AMC. Netflix is a great way to get caught up before then.

The Terror

The anthology horror series is a must-watch. The first season of The Terror is now on Netflix, and it does touch on a real mystery in history. Whatever happened to the HMS Terror and the HMS Erebus when they were heading toward the fabled Northwest Passage?

The two ships went on an exploration to see if the Northwest Passage really existed. If it did, they needed to find out if there was a way through it. However, when they are both trapped in the ice, they realize that survival is more than just about getting their ships moving again. There is something supernatural stalking them.

While there is a second season that is set in the 1940s, the first season of The Terror is a complete series. The second season is worth watching, but you’ll need to turn to AMC+ for that.
