When is Minecraft animated series coming to Netflix?

On May 30, 2024, in celebration of Minecraft's 15th anniversary, Netflix took to social media to announce that an animated series based on the game is in production. You can watch the official announcement video below:

However, as of early June 2024, neither Netflix nor Mojang Studios has disclosed the official release date or cast list for the series. But given its recent production announcement, this shouldn't been too surprising.
