Have you checked out Mending the Line on Netflix? It's one of the top movies on the streaming platform at the moment, and everyone's watching and talking about it. If you haven’t seen it yet, we strongly recommend that you do because you’ll be hooked throughout the entire movie.

It's a war drama film directed by Joshua Caldwell from a screenplay written by Stephen Camelio. Caldwell is known for directing the 2016 romantic comedy Be Somebody, while Camelio is best known for co-writing the screenplay for the 2022 comedy film The Push.

The story follows John Colter, a wounded veteran suffering from PTSD who still hopes that one day he can return to the battlefield. But his time in Afghanistan has affected him deeply as he struggles with survivor's guilt. It's not until he meets and develops a friendship with Ike Fletcher, an old Marine who uses fly-fishing to overcome his trauma, that he learns to face his own physical and emotional trauma.

American actor Sinqua Walls leads the cast as John Colter, a Marine who was wounded in Afghanistan and is struggling to come to terms with his trauma. You might've watched Walls in the Netflix rom-com Resort to Love, where he played Caleb King, the love interest of Christina Milian's character. He also played the role of Nnamdi in The Blackening and Kamal Allen in the 2023 remake White Men Can't Jump. When it comes to TV acting work, he had roles in the TV shows Friday Night Lights, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Once Upon a Time, Teen Wolf, Power, The Breaks, Tales and American Soul.

He's best known for his starring role as Logan Roy in the critically acclaimed black comedy-drama series Succession. Cox has been acting for a very long time, so he has many acting credits to his name. Some of his other acting work includes roles in the movies Adaptation., Troy and X2.

His most recent role was playing Jaan Vari in the sports drama film Little Wing on Paramount+. We'll see him next in the Netflix action-adventure film The Electric State. He also voices Santa in the upcoming Netflix animated movie That Christmas. His other upcoming voice work is in the war series Unsinkable and the animated fantasy film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, which is set to be released in theaters on Dec. 13, 2024.

Perry Mattfeld plays the role of Lucy, a photographer turned librarian who develops a friendship with John. If you were wondering why she looks familiar to you, it's probably because you watched her in the crime drama series In the Dark. She starred in the leading role of Murphy Mason. She also played the role of Mel in the comedy-drama series Shameless and Layla in the comedy flick A Little White Lie.
