Carry-On starring Taron Egerton release updates, cast, and everything we know so far

An action film to be on the lookout for is Carry-On. It’s set to be released on Netflix, and we created a guide of everything there is to know about the movie and shared it below.

Carry-On is an upcoming Netflix original movie helmed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay written by T.J. Fixman and Michael Green. Collet-Serra is best known for directing the movies House of Wax, Orphan, Jungle Cruise and Black Adam. In addition, Fixman is known for co-writing the screenplay for Ratchet & Clank (2016), while Green is known for co-writing the scripts for the movies Logan and Blade Runner 2049.

Amblin Entertainment and Dylan Clark Productions are the production companies behind the film. It’s the first movie to come from Amblin Entertainment’s deal with Netflix.

Is Carry-On filming?

No, production on the action flick has already wrapped. Principal photography started on Oct. 18, 2022, and is believed to have wrapped on Jan. 20, 2023, according to an Instagram post by leading star Taron Egerton. The cast and crew shot the film in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Cleveland, Ohio.

Carry-On release updates

Unfortunately, Carry-On has not been given an official release date by Netflix. However, it is expected to come out sometime in 2023. It was even included on the streamer’s slate of upcoming action movies and series. Our guess is that we’re looking at a late 2023 release, but there’s a possibility the release could be pushed into the next year. We’ll share the release date once it’s announced.

Golden Globe Award-winning actor Taron Egerton stars in the leading role of Ethan Kopek. You might’ve watched him in the movies Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Rocketman. He also had roles in the TV shows Black Bird and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
