Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's next movie RIP scooped up by Netflix

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are set to work together again, and this time on a new crime thriller flick called RIP. Netflix acquired this film from the longtime friends and collaborators, and we're here to share everything we know about it so far.

This news comes six months after we learned that Damon and Affleck will be collaborating on another Netflix crime thriller, Animals. But unlike that movie, in which only Damon will star, he and Affleck will both star in RIP. The film will be produced through their production company, Artists Equity, with American film director and screenwriter Joe Carnahan (The Grey, The A-Team) writing the screenplay and directing.

According to Deadline, Damon and Affleck were looking for another project to work on together for their production company when Damon came across the script for RIP. He read and enjoyed it, and the script later got into the hands of Affleck, who thought it was a pretty solid script as well. With both actors and filmmakers on board, the project hit the market. Now, we've just learned that Netflix has landed the rights to the crime thriller.

Unfortunately, plot details are being kept under wraps at the moment, and no other actors besides Damon and Affleck have been cast. In fact, this is all that's been revealed about the upcoming Netflix movie so far. However, we should learn more details as RIP gears up for production.
