Maestro is one of the buzziest movies this awards season, with actor Bradley Cooper playing the iconic composer Leonard Bernstein along with directing and co-writing the script for the film. After months of anticipation, Maestro is finally available to watch on Netflix.

Described as an epic story of love and family, Maestro is a moving biopic focusing on the relationship between Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre, who is played by Oscar-nominated actress Carey Mulligan. Bradley Cooper as Leonard Bernstein

Leonard Bernstein is considered to be one of the most important and influential American composers of all time. A world-renowned musician, Bernstein conducted many major orchestras and served as the Music Director of the New York Philharmonic. After passing away in Oct. 1990, Bernstein was forever immortalized as a 20th century classical musical icon.

Nine-time Academy Award-nominated actor Bradley Cooper not only portrays Bernstein in the film, but he also directed it and co-wrote the script with Josh Singer. The 48-year-old American actor is best known for his performances in films like American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, A Star is Born, American Sniper, Nightmare Alley, and The Hangover trilogy. He's also been voicing Rocket Raccoon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie in 2014.

Carey Mulligan as Felicia Montealegre

Academy Award-nominated English actress stars opposite Bradley Cooper in Maestro as Leonard Bernstein's wife Felicia Montealegre Bernstein. Montealegre became well-known for her television work and her performances on and off Broadway. She also frequently collaborated with her husband. Maestro focuses on their marriage.

Mulligan received her two Academy Award nominations for her performances in An Education and Promising Young Woman. Some of her other notable roles include Shame, Drive, Saltburn, Wildlife, Mudbound, The Great Gatsby, Far from a Madding Crowd, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, and Never Let Me Go. She'll next star in Adam Sandler's Spaceman and Wildwood. Like Cooper, Mulligan is also a frontrunner for the Oscars and likely to receive a Best Actress nod. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance.

If you watch a lot of Netflix then you might recognize Matt Bomer from his starring role in the thriller series Echoes. But most recently, Bomer has earned acclaim for his work in the Showtime series Fellow Travelers, which he stars in alongside Bridgerton's Jonathan Bailey. Bomer earned a Golden Globe nomination for the miniseries. His other credits include Doom Patrol, the Magic Mike movies, White Collar, and American Horror Story.

In Maestro, Bomer plays clarinetist David Oppenheim, who has an on-again off-again romantic relationship with Leonard Bernstein while the composer struggles with his sexuality.
