Love Next Door cast: Where you've seen the stars of the Korean rom-com before

Have you checked out Love Next Door on Netflix yet? It's easily the best K-Drama to be released in August, so we strongly recommend adding it to your watchlist. Not only does it have an interesting premise that'll grab your attention right away, it also stars two well-known South Korean actors in the leading roles.

It's a Korean romantic comedy series coming from Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha creators Yoo Je-won and Shin Ha-eun. You might also recognize Je-won from his previous directorial work on the hit Netflix K-Drama Crash Course in Romance, while Ha-eun can be recognized for previously writing for the Korean shows Argon and The Crowned Clown.

It tells the love story of a project manager named Bae Seok-ryu, who decides to return to her hometown, hoping for a fresh start in life, and an old childhood friend and young architect, Choi Seung-hyo, with whom she shares a complicated past.

South Korean actor Jung Hae-in stars in the leading role of Choi Seung-hyo, the son of Seok-ryu's mother's friend. He's well-loved by many for his looks and talents, but will Seok-ryu fall for his charms as well?

You might've watched Hae-in the romantic fantasy series While You Were Sleeping, the drama series Prison Playbook, the military action series D.P. and/or the romance series Snowdrop. His next project, an action crime film titled I, the Executioner, is set to be released in South Korea in September 2024.

South Korean actress Jung So-min stars in the other leading role of Bae Seok-ryu, a woman who returns to her hometown hoping to reboot her life. She's best known for starring as Oh Ha-ni in the romantic comedy series Playful Kiss and as Mu-deok/Nak-su in the Netflix Korean romantic drama series Alchemy of Souls. You might also recognize her from her previous role as Hong Na-ra in the rom-com Love Reset.
