Are you ready for a remake of The Color Purple? The story is an important classic, and it’s worthy of a 2023 remake. This is a story that can’t be allowed to be forgotten about.
The story follows Celie, a woman torn away from her sister and children. She’s forced to deal with an abusive husband and various hardships in life. If it wasn’t for a sultry singer called Shug Avery and her stepdaughter, she may not have found the extraordinary strength needed to get through it all.
This is a story of preservation and strength. It’s a story of sisterhood. There’s no doubt that you’ll want to see it in theaters. The question is where it streams after that so you can watch it again.
