Check out Kaley Cuoco as an assassin in Role Play: Is the film streaming on Netflix?

I've personally been a fan of Kaley Cuoco for years! Whether it was her role as Bridget Hennessy on 8 Simple Rules, Billy on the lat season of the original Charmed series, Penny on The Big Bang Theory, or Cassie Bowden on The Flight Attendant, she always manages to take on such fun roles. And now we're going to see her in a new project - Role Play. Is the movie going to be on Netflix?

Unfortunately, Role Play will not be streaming on Netflix. If you want to tune in to the new film, which debuts Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, then you're going to have to head over to another streamer to do so. And that's Prime Video. The movie is an Amazon Studios production, which means it will be streaming exclusively on the platform.

If you already have an Amazon Prime account for your shopping needs, then you don't need to take any further steps. The streamer Prime Video is already included in the price you pay. However if you don't have an Amazon Prime account and just want to subscribe to the streaming service, then you can do so for $8.99/month.

What is Role Play about?

Other than for the reason that Role Play stars the fabulous Kaley Cuoco, I'm excited about to see the new movie because this time around it's the wife who's a secret assassin. There's been more female-driven stories in action over the years, like Nikita and Killing Eve. But you can never have enough. And now this is one more to add to the list!

Role Play is centered around Emma (Cuoco), who is living a quintessential life in New Jersey with her "wonderful husband and two kids in the suburbs," per the synopsis. But, she has a secret. Emma is an assassin for hire and has never told her husband David (Oyelowo). When the two decide to try out role play to spice up their marriage, Emma's secret is revealed. Dun dun dun! I think we're in for an action-packed comedy and a wild ride. So buckle up!

Bill Nighy as Bob Kellerman, Connie Nielsen as Gwen Carber, Rudi Dharmalingam as Raj, and Simon Delaney as Toby Berman round out the cast.

Role Play begins streaming Friday, Jan. 12, 2024 on Prime Video.
