Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina are teaming up for their latest turns on the small screen in the new comedy thriller series Based on a True Story. The highly anticipated series makes its premiere in June, effectively helping kick off the summer’s new slate of binge-able television.

Cuoco and Messina star as Ava and Nathan, a married couple expecting a baby, who launch a true crime podcast in order to interview someone they suspect to be a serial killer. Soon, they find themselves in way over their heads. The series also stars Tom Bateman, Liana Liberato, Priscilla Quintana, and Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer.

Is Based on a True Story on Netflix?

Unfortunately, fans of Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina won’t be able to watch their new series on Netflix. Based on a True Story is an original series on a different streaming service, therefore it won’t be available to stream on Netflix.

The series hasn’t been designated as a limited series, though it could feasibly be an anthology or continue for multiple seasons like Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.
