Are you looking for something lighthearted and fun to watch this St. Patrick's Day weekend on Netflix? The streaming service has tons of great options for this weekend, with Girls5eva finally streaming in its entirety on the platform along with an adorable new PG romantic comedy movie starring Lindsay Lohan!
Plus, the Love Is Blind season 6 reunion is out and there's a new Korean comedy to watch as well. Keep reading to find out what we recommend this weekend and why!
Girls5eva
- Seasons: 3
- Cast: Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, and Renée Elise Goldsberry
- Rating: TV-MA
All three seasons of the former Peacock exclusive series Girls5eva are now streaming on Netflix! That includes the first two seasons and a brand-new third season that includes six episodes made just for Netflix.
So whether you want to revisit your favorite 1990s girl group or catch up and find out where their adventure takes them next, you've got several new episodes to check out this weekend. For those who are just being introduced to the hilarious musical comedy for the first time, the Tina Fey-executive produced series should be the perfect way to fill the 30 Rock-shaped hole in your heart.
Irish Wish
- Runtime: 1 hour 31 minutes
- Cast: Lindsay Lohan, Ed Speelers, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan, Alexander Vlahos, and Jane Seymour
- Rating: TV-PG
Lindsay Lohan is back with a sweet new fantasy rom-com on Netflix that's perfectly timed for St. Patrick's Day! In her latest movie, she plays Maddie, a woman desperately in love with a man who is preparing to marry her best friend.
Not wanting to cause any problems, Maddie sucks it up and plays the part of a perfect bridesmaid, only to then make a spontaneous wish that causes her to wake up with her dream seemingly becoming a reality. But is the person she thought was her true love really the right one? Or is her soulmate someone else entirely?
Love Is Blind season 6 reunion
For those who have been keeping up with Love Is Blind season 6, now is the time to see how the season really ends as we catch up with the cast. And I have to say, as someone who has been critical of Nick and Vanessa Lachey in the past, those two really clocked in for this finale.
They held some of the sneaks this season (Trevor and Jeramey) accountable and addressed some of the off-screen scandals that came out on social media as the series was airing. Plus, we also get our standard updates on the other couples: like did Clay and AD try to make it work? What about Chelsea and Jimmy? And how are Johnny and Amy doing?
Netflix also invited back several couples from previous season's for this reunion and we got some updates on how they're doing, along with a special announcement for Perfect Match season 2 at the end of the reunion that you won't want to miss!
Young Royals season 3
- Episode count: 5 (with the finale releasing on Monday, March 18)
- Cast: Edvin Ryding, Omar Rudberg, Malte Gardinger, Frida Argento, Nikita Uggla, Samuel Astor, Nils Wetterholm, Tommy Wättring, and Pernilla August
- Rating: TV-MA
Catch up with Simon and Wilhelm and their friends in the final part of this touching and beautiful gay love story on Netflix. The third season begins with Wilhelm realizing the consequences of his impassioned speech, but he and Simon try to make the best of their relationship.
The first five episodes of the third season are now on Netflix with the series finale dropping on Monday, March 18 along with a making of documentary about the show that unites the cast and crew to talk about creating Simon and Wilhelm's journey.
Chicken Nugget
- Episode count: 12
- Cast: Ryu Seung-ryong, Ahn Jae-hong, and Kim You-jung
- Rating: TV-MA
Chicken Nugget is an offbeat absurdist comedy series from Korea that features two men trying to save a young woman (one man's daughter, the other's lover) after she is transformed into a chicken nugget by a strange machine.
If that sounds like a weird premise for a show, yeah, it's definitely leaning into absurdist comedy! But the series also promises to be sweet, emotional, and really funny. If you like Korean series and generally enjoy trying new things then you should give this one a try!
