Ever wondered what would happen if you suddenly turned into a chicken nugget? Would you immediately get eaten by a bird or an unsuspecting person? Or would your friends and family fight relentlessly to return you to normal? These are the burning questions of Chicken Nugget, a funny new Netflix TV series you absolutely need to watch this week.
As mentioned, the 2024 title follows the life of Min-ah, a young woman who enters a strange machine and is suddenly turned into a chicken nugget. It's up to Min-ah's father and her lover to save the day. But since this duo couldn't be any different from one another, the journey to getting Min-ah back is much easier said than done.
See all this and more in the official trailer for Chicken Nugget below.
Now that you know more about the ridiculous yet warm-hearted story behind the Netflix title, here's a quick dive into the cast and characters of Chicken Nugget!
Meet the cast of Netflix's Chicken Nugget
Starring in the cast of Chicken Nugget are a ton of famous Korean actors you've certainly seen once or twice before!
Ryu Seung-ryong as Choi Seon-man
Ryu Seung-ryong stars as Min-ah's father, Choi Seon-man, in the series. You've seen this actor in plenty of shows and films, including (but not limited to) Cruel Winter Blues (2006), Painter of the Wind (2008), Personal Taste (2010), and, our personal favorite, Kingdom (2019).
Ahn Jae-hong as Baek-joong
Alongside Ryu Seung-ryong is Ahn Jae-hong, who stars as Min-ah's lover, Baek-joong.
Ahn Jae-hong starred in the smash-hit Netflix original series Mask Girl as Ju Oh-nam, so if you loved him in this show, you're definitely going to love him in the 2024 title!
Kim Yoo-jung as Choi Min-ah
Kim Yoo-jung stars as our chicken nugget, Choi Min-ah.
Kim Yoo-jung is a familiar face we've seen in so many titles that we start to lose count after a while. Some fan favorites include Lady Vengeance (2006), The Chaser (2008), Telecinema (2009), and Gumiho: Tale of the Fox's Child. However, her most critically acclaimed titles include Gold Rainbow (2013), Angry Mom (2015), and Lovers of the Red Sky (2021).
All these actors have played very different roles than their respective roles in the comedy. Even so, we know you're going to have a good time seeing their comedic range, too.
Now that you know more about the cast, all that's left to do is head over to Netflix on Friday, Mar. 15, to stream every episode of Chicken Nugget.
