I Saw the TV Glow isn't on Netflix (but here's where to stream after theaters)
When it comes to the genre of horror, psychological horrors are truly the best of the lot. While we all appreciate the escapism that films provide, there are only a select few that are capable of getting under our skin like these.
Despite the fact that jump scares are great for providing a temporary shock, the feeling of terror that people experience after watching a psychological horror flick is what ultimately causes their skin to crawl. It’s certainly frightening to hear sounds in the dead of night, but having nobody think you are actually hearing them is an entirely different sort of terrifying.
Unfortunately, Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine's latest psychological horror flick will not be available on Netflix for the time being. The only way to catch I Saw the TV Glow right now is to go to the theater as it was released on May 3. If not, you'll have to hold on until it's accessible via streaming on Max or for buying or renting on digital platforms such as YouTube and Amazon Prime.
In light of the fact that Warner Bros. Discovery has recently entered into a multi-year agreement with A24 for streaming distribution of the studio's latest films, it is highly probable that I Saw the TV Glow is going to be released on Max.
It is still unclear when the movie will be made available on streaming services. However, The Iron Claw, which had also been produced by A24, was released in theaters on Dec. 22 and will not be available on Max until May 10, which is approximately 20 weeks after it was initially released. In the event that I Saw the TV Glow continues along the same path, it is possible that we will not be able to access the film on the streaming service until the end of September 2024.
Netflix movies and shows like I Saw the TV Glow
Netflix has no plans to add I Saw The TV Glow to its library any time soon. However, given Netflix's recent increase in acquisitions, anything could happen in the future.
At this point, it's safe to assume that the film will only be available in theaters and will not be streamed online anytime soon. However, if you're not in the mood to go to the theater but would still like to watch a similar psychological horror film, there are a few options on Netflix that you can check out right now.
