There’s nothing like a good horror flick to get the blood flowing, but there are plenty of great horror shows as well. If you want to watch something scary on Netflix, we have some recommendations for you.

Here are some of the best horror shows that you can watch on Netflix right now.

1. American Horror Story

This list of horror shows wouldn’t be complete without American Horror Story. Whether you’re in the mood for murderous clowns, a coven of witches, some well-dressed vampires, an insane asylum with aliens lurking around every corner, or a good old fashioned haunted house, AHS has a storyline for you.

2. The Haunting of Hill House

Loosely based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson, The Haunting of Hill House is my favorite horror series on this list. The Haunting of Hill House follows the lives of the Crain family. Alternating between the past and the present, viewers watch as the five Crain siblings must contend with the paranormal entities residing in Hill House.

Even as they grow into adulthood, the siblings continue to be haunted by what transpired at Hill House.

3. Two Sentence Horror Stories

Two Sentence Horror Stories is an anthology horror series, with each episode having its own contained story. Each episode is 30 minutes long and is based on (you guessed it!) two creepy sentences.

4. Haunted

Haunted is the only reality series on this spooky list. Viewers watch people who have experienced horrifying, curious, or supernatural events tell their haunting stories.

5. Stranger Things

Even though Stranger Things is more sci-fi than horror, I think the Demogorgon is scary enough to warrant a place on this list. Set in Indiana during the early 1980s, Stranger Things follows a group of misfits determined to recover their best friend after he is captured by a monster and held hostage in a decaying parallel dimension known as the Upside Down.

6. Typewriter

Set in the Indian state of Goa, Typewriter follows a group of kids on a mission to catch a ghost and provide proof of their existence. After reading a haunted book, ‘The Ghost of Sultanpore,’ the children decide to seek otherworldly entities at an old haunted mansion in their neighborhood. However, their plans are put in jeopardy when a new family moves into the house.

7. The Walking Dead

If you love zombies, then you should check out The Walking Dead. Based on the comic book series of the same name, The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors trying to stay alive amid a zombie apocalypse. With humanity in shambles, the characters must contend with the new world order.

8. Marianne

Marianne is a French horror series. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, it follows a young writer who discovers that her characters are not quite as fictional as she originally thought.

9. Slasher

There are quite a few anthology series on this list of horror shows, and Slasher is yet another one. Each season follows a different serial killer with an unknown motive as they hunt down their victims.

10. Bloodride

Bloodride was released this year on Friday the 13th. The series centers around an ominous bus, whose driver and passengers are headed towards an uncertain fate.

Next. The Haunting of Bly Manor is coming to Netflix in October 2020. dark
