Here's why Richard Armitage should be cast in Harlan Coben's Missing You on Netflix
We have good news to report for all the Harlan Coben fans. Production has officially started on his next book-to-television series adaptation for Netflix. The cast and crew are reportedly shooting Missing You in the United Kingdom, and English actress Rosalind Eleazar is rumored to be playing the lead role of Detective Kat Donovan.
Missing You is based on Coben's 2014 thriller novel of the same name and follows a detective who, after suddenly seeing her missing fiancé's face on an online dating site, sets out on a mission to find out what really happened to him.
Although no official casting announcements have been made yet, Eleazar has been pictured several times on the set of the Missing You series. Based on these behind-the-scenes photos, it's pretty much confirmed that she's in the cast. However, it's who she's playing in the series that's unclear. What leads us to believe that she'll be playing the main character is the fact that she's been photographed in detective gear in all the behind-the-scenes photos. She's also the only actor who's been seen on set so far. Of course, once we have confirmation on who Eleazar will be portraying in the thriller series, you'll be the first to know.
But do you know who we really want to see join the Missing You cast and pop up on set? English actor Richard Armitage! After appearing in three Harlan Coben Netflix shows, it's only right that he makes an appearance in Coben's upcoming project. He could easily play Kat's missing fiancé, Josh. Even if he doesn't play a main character in the new series, we just want to see him in some capacity.
I mean, it doesn't look like Armitage is currently filming anything, so there shouldn't be any scheduling conflicts. Fingers crossed, this actually happens! We'll keep you posted on any new casting announcements for Missing You, so stay tuned to Netflix Life.
But in the meantime, be sure to check out the other shows in the Harlan Coben collection on Netflix, such as Fool Me Once, The Woods, Gone for Good, The Innocent, The Stranger, Safe, Hold Tight and Stay Close.
