The first season follows 12-year-old Aang, the current Avatar and the last Airbender, who was frozen in an iceberg for a hundred years only to awaken and find out his entire kind has been wiped out by the militaristic Fire Nation. In order to put a stop to the Fire Nation, who are determined to conquer the world, Aang must learn to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air). Joining him on his journey are young waterbender Katara and her older Water Tribe warrior brother Sokka. It won't be a quest without obstacles, though, with the Crown Prince of the Fire Nation out to capture him.

Rising actor Gordon Cormier portrays the role of Aang, while Kiawentiio and Ian Ousley play the roles of Katara and Sokka. Dallas Liu takes on the role of Prince Zuko, the Crown Prince of the Fire Nation. Joining them in the talented cast are Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Elizabeth Yu, Daniel Dae Kim, and many others.
