Here's the shocking reason Naisha was eliminated in Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE

Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE is now available to stream on Netflix. It follows 20 aspiring young artists from all over the world as they vie to hopefully secure a spot in HYBE and Geffen Records' first-ever global girl group. But the competition is tough, with there only being six spots in the girl group available. Throughout the eight-episode season, we watch as contestants are eliminated for not faring well in the competition overall.

However, there's one contestant that was eliminated for another reason. We're talking about Naisha Dos Santos, a young woman from Brazil and Spain. She was one of the original 14 contestants who joined the competition at its earlier stage. In episode 3, after evaluations were finished and no one was eliminated, senior talent and development program manager Missy called all the contestants into the conference room to discuss an urgent matter.

She had discovered that the contestants had private Instagram accounts, which was a violation of the NDA they signed and confidentiality rules. However, the trainees didn't see it as an issue since they would only share photos and videos with each other even though they had people outside the competition following them.

While Missy did see this as another issue, her real problem came from Naisha posting a video on Instagram of her singing one of the original songs from the program. Since this was a major violation, Missy, HYBE, and Geffen Records made the decision to let her go. Missy called Naisha into one of the studios and explained to her that because she posted a video of her singing an original song on social media and because she had people from outside of the program following her, they had to make the decision to eliminate her.

Initially, Naisha tries to argue that she didn't have more followers than what is being claimed, even saying that she took a screenshot of her follower count. But Missy doesn't believe her, and she tells her that she had already reviewed her account. In the end, Naisha accepts her fate and is sent home.
