Schitt's Creek actor Dan Levy stars in Good Grief on Netflix: Get to know him and the rest of the cast
Dan Levy proved his multi-talent when he created, wrote, and starred in comedy series Schitt's Creek with his father Eugene Levy. Now, the actor is showcasing his talent once again, marking his feature film directing debut in Good Grief on Netflix! The star has also written the script, and of course will be in front of the camera as well. How exciting is that!?
He takes on the role of Marc Dreyfus in the movie, which debuts Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 on the streamer. Joining him onscreen are Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, and more. Check out the cast list below:
- Daniel Levy as Marc Dreyfus
- Ruth Negga as Sophie
- Himesh Patel as Thomas
- Luke Evans as Oliver
- Celia Imrie as Imelda
- Arnaud Valois as Theo
Levy's character David was definitely a fan-favorite on Schitt's Creek, and I have no doubt that his new role in Good Grief will prove to be one as well. And actually this time around, we're seeing Levy in a new light. The tone of the movie and what his character are going through are much less comedic and take on a more bittersweet tone. And that's what I'm looking forward to seeing the most. An actor proves their talent when they can showcase many emotions. And that's exciting!
In this bittersweet story, Marc (Dan Levy) was fine "living in the shadow of his larger-than-life husband, Oliver," per the synopsis. When Oliver dies suddenly, Marc's "world shatters," and he decides to go on a soul-searching trip to Paris with his best friends Sophie and Thomas. When they get to the French city, Oliver and his friends will come to terms with "some hard truths they each needed to face."
Levy has become known in the industry, and I can't wait to see him shine in this new role! Have you heard of all the other talented actors joining him onscreen? If you haven't we've got your back! Read on below for all the details about the stars of the film!
