Gi-hun pledges to hunt down the Front Man in new Squid Game season 2 clip

After over two years of waiting, Netflix is finally gearing up to release the highly-anticipated second season of its global sensation Squid Game. As part of the reveal of the upcoming 2024 slate, the streamer shared the first official clip from the new season, showing a pissed-off Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) on the phone with the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) as he promises to find him, no matter what.

When we last left off with Gi-hun, he was about to board a plane when he chose to call the number to enlist in the games, as per the business card handed out by the Recruiter (Gong Yoo) after he intercepted it from the unsuspecting victim he was trying to sign up for the next game. Gi-hun tells the operator on the line that he's not a racehorse and expresses his disgust for the whole murderous operation.

But then the Front Man intercepts the call and suggests Gi-hun shut up and get on the plane. Obviously, once Gi-hun realizes the Front Man is keeping tabs on him, he does the opposite.

In the season 2 clip shared by Netflix, we get to see the next phase of the conversation, with the Front Man ominously telling Gi-hun he's made a mistake by not boarding his flight. Gi-hun makes it clear he doesn't intend to let the Front Man get away with all he's done and considering he really has nothing left to lose, I think the Front Man should take his threat seriously.

First look at Park Gyu-young's character in Squid Game season 2

Sweet Home star Park Gyu-young is among the many new cast additions to the show's second season. We don't really know anything about her character yet, but Netflix did include a photo of her in their first batch of Squid Game season 2 images.

The photo shows her character holding a familiar business card, meaning she likely met with the Recruiter recently and is debating whether or not to dial the number and get involved with the game. I think we can safely assume she will be a participant.
